Testing for Hepatitis C
You can get tested for Hepatitis C at any local sexual health clinic (please click on our Sexual Health Clinics tab for more info). If you have Hepatitis C, your body will create antibodies to try to fight the virus. We will take a blood test to see if these antibodies are present, and you may also be referred to a liver specialist for a liver function test.
Treatment for Hepatitis C
Hepatitis C treatment most commonly involves antiviral medication which helps prevent the virus from getting worse and causing further liver damage.

If you have symptoms you should get yourself tested to avoid infection developing and from transferring it to someone else.
